SC, ST Dev Corp conducts awareness camp

KATHUA, Mar 14: The J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Devolvement Corporation conducted one -day awareness camp in collaboration with National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Dev. Corporation, New Delhi at Ward No-17, here .
The Camp was inaugurated by Rajiv Jasrotia, MLA, Kathua, who appreciated the  schemes of the corporation and its efforts  to make its target group aware about the welfare schemes available for them.
The MLA advised the corporation to provide maximum benefits of the schemes to the target group people to remove/ minimize the unemployment  and poverty from the society.
MLA distributed loan cheques amounting to Rs 10 lakh to the beneficiaries for establishment of income generating units.
Y P Suman, Managing Director of the corporation highlighted the programmes/schemes of the available for the target people, especially regarding implementation the newly launched scheme of  ‘Swachhta Udyami Yojana’ Swachhta Se Sampannta Ki Aur”  and  Educational Loan Scheme.
He informed that the corporation is working as State Channelizing Agency for the six National Level Corporations of the Govt. of India and working for the upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Notified National Minorities, Safai Karamcharis/ Scavengers and Handicapped categories in the J&K State.
Iqbal Kataria, Manager Projects of the corporation gave the detailed resume on the schemes of the corporation and procedure for availing the schemes.
Vijay Kumar Tak, FA/CAO of the corporation presented welcome address and vote of thanks.
