SC Welfare Association felicitates MLAs

JAMMU, Feb 4: All J&K Scheduled Caste Welfare Association & National Campaign for Dalit Rights today organized a one day interaction and felicitation meeting with newly elected SC MLAs from the State.
The meeting was attended by MLA Raipur Domana, Bali Bhagat, MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh, M LA, R S Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat, MLA Chenani, Deenanath Bhagat, MLA Samba, Devinder Kumar Manyal and MLA Hiranagar Kuldeep Kumar.
During the interaction various demands concerning the SC community in the State were discussed with them.
The members of the Association stressed on better implementation of special component plan for the welfare of weaker sections in the State, immediate steps be taken to guarantee reservation in Government services as per the set norms, political reservations for weaker sections as per norms in Upper House, Reservation to SCs from the State in Parliament, enforcement of the SC/ST(PoA) Act and rules, devising of mechanism to improve the standard of education in Government schools, provision of scholarships to all SC students and construction of hostels for students the community.
The Association was led by Rup Lal Bharti its president, Om Raj Bhall, general secretary, Saran Dass Manyal, joint secretary and other members.
