Students and people during scabies treatment camp at village Chanti, Gandoh on Saturday.

JAMMU, July 13: 26 Rashtriya Rifles in collaboration with ICRC organised a scabies treatment camp at village Chanti, Gandoh.
During the camp, hundreds of people particularly students residing in Chanti, Chantibala, Khawas, Shalkhi, Bhatmas and Ghansana were examined.
The outbreak of this contagious disease was informed to Commanding Officer (CO) of 26 Rastriya Rifles by SDM and Principal of Chanti High School.
Rashtriya Rifles taking the initiative made all out efforts and carried out liaison with ICRC to deal with this disease.
ICRC general secretary Roma Wani extended a helpful hand in providing medicines.
An Army team of three doctors and six para medics, and a civil doctor of Gundoh were deputed at Chanti village.
During the scabies treatment camp all the villagers were checked and given medicines.
An awareness programme was also organised to ensure that no further outbreak of this disease takes place.
