SCCU apprises DC Udhampur about issues of senior citizens

UDHAMPUR, June 4: A deputation of Senior Citizens Club Udhampur (SCCU), led by its President Mahadeep Singh Jamwal, called on Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Kritika Jyotsna and apprised her about various issues of the senior citizens.
The Deputy Commissioner was apprised about demands of senior citizens, such as Day Care Centre for them, special queues for senior citizens at Govt offices & Govt funded hospitals, renovation of Club building at Ramnagar and allotment of land for old age home at Ramnagar.
On the occasion, the Club magazine “Aashayen” and book “Sangarsh Ek Prerna”- written by Shivdev Singh ‘Tyagi were presented to DC. The Club members requested DC Udhampur to visit far flung areas of Dudu Basantgarh.
Mahadeep Singh Jamwal and Shivdev Singh `Tyagi’ (President Senior Citizens Club Ramnagar) assured the DC that Club has experienced fraternity from all Department and their motive is welfare of senior citizen’s and to serve humanity.
The Deputy Commissioner assured all cooperation from the District Administration to the Club.
The deputation comprised of Col (Retd) Balwant Singh (Vice President), S K Gandotra (advisor), Ram Saroop (Vice President), Som Raj Laira (VP), Keerat Singh (advisor) , Tehru Singh (Cashier), Jagdish Kumar (Secy), Sheru Ram, (President SCCB), Baldev Chand (Chairman), Abdul Rashid Wani (Gen Secy), Sagar Chand (VP), Dalip Kumar (VP) and Santosh Kumari.
