JAMMU, Oct 30: SCERT Jammu division, under the mentorship of Joint Director Prof Sindhu Kapoor, conducted a three- day capacity building program on creation of e-content for JKPM e-Vidya DTH channels.
The CBP aimed at enhancing the ability of the participants to create high quality e-content for JKPM e-Vidya DTH channels. By harnessing the power of direct broadcast satellite technology, the PM e-Vidya DTH initiative, launched in May 2020 by the Government of India as a part of Atm Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan encompasses the mission to make education more accessible and equitable across India by reducing the digital divide and facilitating learning during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program organized under the aegis of AU-III brought together 30 participants across various zones of Jammu division. Under PM e-Vidya initiative, JKUT has been allocated with five channels numbering from 36-40 for classes 1st to 12th. The channels telecast 24×7 on DD free dish and You tube live streaming channels.
The program was inaugurated by Prof Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director JKSCERT accompanied by Tahira Parveen Shawl, Head AU-III, along with Associate Professors and Assistant Professors. The proceedings began with keynote/ welcome address by Dr Balgar Singh, Nodal Officer PM e-Vidya JKUT initiative and Coordinator of the program.
In her inaugural address Prof Sindhu Kapoor mentioned the huge potential the participants have that can be showcased through their contribution in creating and uploading quality content on the digital platform that can be beneficial to all the learners equally. She assured all the possible support for the success of this venture.
The enlightening sessions delivered by various resource persons namely Rohit Sharma, Rajesh Hali, Dr Balgar Singh, Anil Sharma and Arsh Kour, proved to be instrumental in exploring various methodologies, best practices and innovative tools that empowered the participants to create engaging multimedia content like video production, animation and user engagement strategies . The sessions were followed by impressive presentations by the participants as well as their valuable feedback.
During the valedictory function, Joint Director Prof Sindhu Kapoor awarded certificates of appreciation to all the participants.
