UDHAMPUR, Mar 26: The Career Point University Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh is offering scholarships to the eligible students of Jammu and Kashmir.
This was informed by Dr Sanjeev Sharma, Registrar Career Point University and Shamty Duggal, while briefing media persons, here today.
“Central and State Government scholarship schemes are also available in the Career Point University Hamirpur at UG and PG Level. The Scholarship awarded are Post-Matric Scholarship scheme to SC & ST students whose parents’ annual income from all sources is up to Rs 2,50,000 and to all OBC students whose parents’ annual income from all sources is up to Rs 1,00,000. Merit cum Means scholarship scheme for the students belonging to Minority community and Single girl child scholarship scheme are also available in the University,” they elaborated.
The University has been registered with the Department of Social Welfare, Govt of Jammu & Kashmir and the students of the State who take admissions are also eligible for the award of these schemes, they added
The Career Point University Hamirpur has been established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh vide Act 12 of 2012 u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and is a member of All Indian University Association, duly empowered by the University Grants Commission to award degrees u/s 22 of its Act 1956. The Courses offered are duly approved along with Fees by Govt of Himachal Pradesh and HP-PERC Shimla
The courses offered there include in Engineering and Technology: B Tech, M Tech, Ph D (Mechanical, Civil, and Computer Science).
Basic & Applied Sciences: B Sc, M Sc, M Phil and Ph D in Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Management: BBA, MBA, B Com (Hons), M Com, PGDBM (1 Yr), Ph D (Management).
Computer Application: BCA, MCA, B Sc (IT), M Sc (IT) and PGDCA (1 Yr).
Pharmacy: D Pharmacy (Allopathy) and B Pharmacy.
LAW: BA-LLB, LLM and Ph D.
Hotel Management: Diploma in HM, BHMCT, B Sc (Hotel Hospitality & Administration; Airline Tourism & Hospitality Management).
Proposed Course: B Sc (Forestry, Agriculture, Biotechnology, Food Science & Technology), MLT, Nursing, Yoga Science, M Sc (Biotechnology, Food Science& Tech, B Sc – B Ed, BA – B Ed, DMLT, GNM, Veterinary Pharmacist, Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga & Naturopathy.
