POONCH, May 31: A school boy was killed when the door of an over loaded bus suddenly opened in Bafliaz area of Surankote this afternoon.
A police spokesman said that 12th class student Rashid Malik, son of Mushtaq Ahmed, resident of Faizlabad fell down from the moving bus at Mirza Morh and sustained serious head injuries. Three boys in fact fell down but two others received minor injuries. Rashid was rushed to Surankote hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
The driver, Bashrat Hussain, resident of Bafliaz of the bus bearing registration No. JK02AH/5571 escaped from the spot. Police has registered a case against him. The people also held protest against the overloading and demanded arrest of driver. SDPO Surankote Ajay Sharma rushed to the spot and pacified the people to nab the driver soon.
