Schools closed, exams postponed

JAMMU, Sept 26: All educational institutions will remain closed both Government as well as private in four districts of Jammu region in view of tomorrow’s bandh call.
The educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts will remain closed to avert any untoward incident in view of tomorrow’s bandh call.
When contacted the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Shantmanu said in view of tomorrow’s band call and prevailing situation in Samba district all the educational institutions have been closed by the administration in the two districts.
However the District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Jitender Kumar and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, later announced the closure of all educational institutions in their respective districts also to avert any untoward incident in view of tomorrow’s bandh call.
Meanwhile, the University of Jammu has postponed all examinations scheduled to take place tomorrow.
This was stated by a University Spokesman here today. The next date will be intimated later, he added.
