JAMMU, Feb 19: In view of the prevailing situation, all educational institutions within Jammu district shall remain closed tomorrow while examinations of class 8th as well as 9th in entire Jammu district and practical exams of class 12th across Jammu division, which were scheduled to be held on February 20, have been postponed.
J&K Board of School Education has also ordered postponement of all the remaining examinations of D El Ed, Ist year as well as 2nd year while Jammu University has postponed the exams, scheduled to be held on 20th and 21st of February.
According to Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, all educational institutions within Jammu city shall remain closed tomorrow.
However, examinations of class 8th and 9th, scheduled to be held on February 20, have been postponed in entire Jammu district even as the same shall be conducted as per the date sheet in other districts.
Meanwhile, according to a spokesman of JKBOSE, the practical examination of class 12th , scheduled to be held on February 20 and all the remaining exams of D El Ed, 1st as well as 2nd year, have been postponed. Fresh dates for conducting the postponed exams, shall be intimated later on, the spokesman added.
The Jammu University has also notified that all the Under and Post Graduate level examinations, CBCS (Minor Exams), Course Work Exams of M Phil and Ph D, which were scheduled to be conducted on February 20 and 21, have been postponed due to the prevailing situation.
Fresh dates shall be notified later on, said JU spokesperson.
