Schools found closed, 3 suspended

RAMBAN, May 31: Chief Education Officer (CEO) visited UPS Kasal, Zone Batote and GHS Dhulwas and found the institutions closed.
He ordered suspension of three teachers at UPS Kasal and withheld the pay of GHS Dhulwas staff till further orders.
According to the order, CEO visited UPS Kasal at around 1 pm today and found the school closed and students were found roaming on road. None of the teachers posted were found in the school.
The students were found riding on JCB near the school and no teacher was found to stop the students for doing so, the order reads.
This type of practice shows that teachers posted in the said school are not performing their legitimate duties dedicatedly and are liable for disciplinary action as warranted under rules.
After witnessing the whole situation, CEO ordered suspension of three teachers namely Seva Singh (Master), Davinder Sharma and Vikas Sharma, ReTs. CEO also requested Director School Education to terminate ReTs.
He directed ZEO Batote to initiate enquiry and submit the detailed report along with his specific recommendation within week’s time.
Meanwhile, CEO also visited GHS Dhulwas at 1:55 pm and found the school locked. None of the teachers were found present in the school.
CEO directed Principal GHSS Batote to initiate enquiry with regard to GHS Dhulwas and submit the detailed report within week’s time positively. The pay of staff of HS Dhulwas has been kept withheld till further orders.
