Sir,
I want to draw the kind attention of the concerned departments of Govt in State and at the Centre towards the unholy nexus between the State and Central Private schools and the Books/Uniform vendors. It is very agonizing and traumatic to see oneself being looted by the duos. The schools are selling books and stationery item and uniforms in connivance with the books and uniform sellers from their shops and also from the school counters at exorbitant rates. They are fearless to the extent that they enhance the rates of books by cutting, covering and pasting fake rate slips over the printed rates. First of all, I want to ask the concerned authorities who have authorised the schools to conduct business of selling books and uniforms. Secondly, I wonder where are the officers of Legal Metrology Department to check such activities of book sellers. The vendors and the schools selling books and stationery items do not even bother give VAT invoices to the parents/costumers. The schools which are exempted from the Income Tax by the Govt are illegally carrying out this business and harassing the hapless parents which have no option but to continue the studies of their wards in the same schools. The concerned authorities are, as such requested to take necessary action to curb such practices.
Yours etc…
