JAMMU, June 5: All Educational institutions in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri and Poonch districts will remain closed for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
According to an official handout, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal has ordered closure of all educational institutions, including schools and colleges- both Government and private, in these five districts on June 6.
The exams, if any, shall also remain postponed, the handout added.
A Jammu University spokesman told Excelsior that Jammu University examinations, scheduled to be held tomorrow also stand postponed. Fresh dates of postponed examinations shall be notified later on.
Pertinent to mention that all educational institutions had also remained closed on June 5 on the direction of the Divisional administration following tension after killing of a youth in police firing and subsequent imposition of curfew in some areas adjoining Satwari.
