SCOA flays Rather for anti-industry budget

JAMMU, Mar 7: The Stone Crusher Owners Association (SCOA) has strongly condemned the budget presented, the other day, in the Assembly by the State Finance Minister terming it as anti-industry.
In a press conference, here today, the president of the Association Vikram Randhawa said that the Minister has miserably failed to deliver to the requisite demands which were put forth during pre-budget deliberations with him and were assured of due consideration.
He said that the exorbitant entry fee at Lakhanpur on purchase of spareparts and other allied machinery related with the stone crushers is a unbearable burden. “During pre-budget deliberation, we had humbly submitted before the FM to exempt the industry from ‘Earth Moving Equipment’ cluster and were assured of the same. But, by keeping us still inact with the same cluster is a major setback to the 450 unit holders of the State” Vikram rued.
