Scooty theft case solved

JAMMU, Nov 27: In a significant breakthrough, police have solved a scooty theft case reported from the Panjtirthi area near Billu Mandir.
“On September 11, Kishore Kumar, son of Chuni Lal, a resident of Siot in Rajouri district, filed a written complaint at the Panjtirthi Police Post. He reported that his scooty, bearing registration number JK11E-1672, had been stolen by unidentified individuals,” a police spokesperson said.
He said based on the complaint, an FIR Number 102/2024 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Pacca Danga, and an investigation was promptly initiated.
During the course of the investigation, police detained a suspect identified as Varun Gill, son of William Gill, a resident of Sajalpur Marh, Jammu. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime. Acting on his disclosure, the stolen scooty was successfully recovered.
Further, legal proceedings are underway.
The theft case was solved by a team of police headed by SHO Pacca Danga Insp Rakesh Jamwal.
