Scrutiny of nomination papers held for elections of Bar Association Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 13: For the elections of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu, scrutiny of the nomination papers was held today.
After scrutiny by the Election Committee, nomination papers of all the contesting candidates were accepted. With this exercise, final battle lines have been drawn for various positions of the Bar Association.
For the post of President, total five candidates are in fray, who include K Nirmal Kotwal, Parveen Kapahi, Sachin Gupta, Surinder Kour and Vikram Sharma.
For the post of Vice-President, a triangular contest among Amit Gupta, S Jasvinder Singh (Jassi) and Monish Chopra is ensued.
In straight contest, Ajay Bakshi and Parvesh Singh Salaria are in fray for the post of general secretary while Chetan Misri and Shiv Dev Thakur are contesting for the post of Joint Secretary.
For the post of Treasurer, Gaurav Arora, Suhail Bharti, Utkarsh Pathania, and Vikram Singh Sohil are in the fray.
The elections of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu has been scheduled to be held on 25th February, 2023.
