JAMMU, July 8: The All J&K SC and ST Retired Employees Forum today felicitated the selectees from the SC and ST community in the All India Services, the result of which was declared recently.
The function was held under the chairmanship of Prof G L Thapa, president of the Forum while Dr P N Dogra, Professor and HOD Urology, AIIMS, New Delhi, was the chief guest.
The selectees who were felicitated, included Zaffar Iqbal, Mhonish Digra, Danish Agastam, Sahil Sangral, Vikrant Bhushan, Sahil Digra and Vivek Bhagat.
Besides, Dr P N Dogra and Dr Yogita Rana ( Collector in Telangana), who were recipients of Dr B C Roy Award from President of India and Prime Minister’s award, respectively and Rahul Jangral who scaled the Mount Everest and Jaya Manohar, daughter of Dr Manohar Rana, who got admission in MBBS course in Jawahar Lal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research and got 30th all India rank, were also felicitated.
Further, the meritorious students from the community who got high percentage of marks in CBSE/State Board were also felicitated. They included Dinash Kumar, Ashu Bassan, Kanishak Thappa, Pushpinder Singh, Rohit Kalotra, Shaloo Devi, Mehvi Raj Thapa,Garo Devi, Asiya, Deviya Kumari and Vanshika Menia from 12th Class and Shubam Kumar, Tanvi Radha, Sunaina Sangral, Raman Kumar and Shubhum Kumar from 10th class.
The function was attended by S D Digra, H R Founsa, G L Bhagat , Harbans Lal, U C Digra, C L Banal, Dr Nasib Chand Digra, Banarsi Lal and Dr Manohar. T C Bavouria conducted proceedings of the programme, which ended with vote of thanks by M L Hans.
