JAMMU, Mar 20: The eight day long Sculptors’ Camp organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) under the guidance of Bharat Singh Manhas, Secretary JKAACL at Kala Kendra culminated here today.
Well known painter artist Richa Mahajan was chief guest on valedictory ceremony whereas renowned artist, columnist on art & culture presided over the function. Popinder Singh Paras, Exhibition Officer, JKAACL & Editor Sheeraza Punjabi shared the dais.
The ceremony was attended by sculptors, artists, students of IMFA and art lovers.

Senior and young artists who participated in the camp included Bodh Raj Balgotra, Brijpal Anand, Jasleen Singh, Vikas Dogra, Vikas Khajuria, Arjinder Kumar, Sukhjit Singh Kukkal, Swatantar Bharat, Darshan Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Jagdish Singh Babli and Ganesh Kumar Sharma.
In his presidential address Jang S. Verman said it was a challenge for the participating sculptors to come up with their creations in view of the short duration of the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Richa Mahajan welcomed the restarting of sculptor’s camp by the Cultural Academy. She appreciated the art works created by artists during the camp.
Senior participating sculptors Ganesh Kumar Sharma, J.S Babli, Sukhjit Singh and Vikas Khajuria expressed their views on the conduct of the camp.
Senior artists Bishamber Mehta, Dr. Madan Rangila and others also attended the valedictory ceremony of the camp.
Irshad Tantray, Exhibition Officer, JKAACL extended vote of thanks.
