JAMMU, Dec 3: Special Crime Wing (SCW) of Crime Branch Jammu today filed a charge-sheet against an alleged fraudster in a cheating case.
Charge-sheet against the accused person, namely Sartaj Khalid, a resident of Salian Bufliaz Surankote Poonch, was filed in case FIR 33/2023, under section 420-IPC of Police Station SCW Jammu.
The case was registered on written complaint of a student, belonging to a BPL family, who was pursuing her B Ed course from Poonch College of Education. She came into the contact of the accused Sartaj Khalid through one of her classmates. The accused pretended himself to be an influential person having links with higher officials of the department who can arrange employment for the educated youth in different departments. At the time of introduction, he pretended himself as JE in PDD and assured the complainant that he will arrange employment for her in lieu of Rs 4.00 lakhs. After a thorough and professional investigation by the I/O, the case was finally proved against the accused person and the offence under section 420- IPC got established against him.
A team of Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Jammu today produced the accused before the court and accordingly charge sheet was presented against him for judicial determination.
The case has been professionally investigated by Inspector Deepak Thakur of Special Crime Wing, Crime Branch Jammu under overall supervision of Sanjay Parihar, SSP Crime Branch (SCW) Jammu and challaned in the court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Poonch.
