JAMMU, June 23: Station Director, Northern Railway, Jammu-Tawi, Uchit Singhal conducted surprise inspection of Jammu-Tawi, Railway Station and took stock of prevailing situation.
He directed all the concerned staff to improve the image of Jammu-Tawi, Railway Station which ranks amongst A1 category Station. He also guided all the supervisors to extend sincere services for the upliftment of the Station.
Booking office was checked and CBS alongwith other staff was instructed to cooperate with the passengers in a friendly manner to enhance the Railway revenue.
Chief Health Inspector was counselled upon to be very particular in matters of cleanliness with the direction that there should be no dirt/filth lying about at the Station or its adjoining area to give the Station a splendid look in view of forthcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra.
SSE/ Works/ Station, Northern Railway, Jammu-Tawi, was also given guidelines asking him to ensure that doors, windows/window panes of the Station building, should be in proper order. He was also asked to take meticulous care of road of the Station/adjoining area/Railway colonies with the direction that there should be no pitfalls or stagnation of water on the road.
