Srinagar, Aug 7: The Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) carried out a demolition drive in coordination with police and civil administration in Lal Chowk area of city centre here.
The Enforcement Wing of SDA dismantled the age old structures in KMD yard here. “These structures were a big hurdle in completion of multi level mechanized 30 crore parking project of SDA which is going to provide huge parking space for 286 vehicles and will be a big relief to densely congested Lal Chowk area,” an SDA official said here. He said the parking slot is expected to be a boon in reducing the parking woes faced by one and all visiting the commercial hub of Srinagar.
“The demolition drive was undertaken under close supervision of Divisional com Kashmir, DC Srinagar, VC SDA, Secretary SDA and senior officers of SDA and police,” the official added.
