JAMMU, July 20: Sub Divisional Magistrate Marh, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria convened a meeting with PRI members in Sub Division Marh along with Member DDC Marh and Chairman BDC Marh to get firsthand knowledge about the progress of developmental Govt schemes being implemented by different departments and also to listen the issues/ grievances being faced by common public at grass root level, here today.
Elected members present in the meeting raised various public issues and apprised the SDM about many drawbacks in the execution of Govt schemes by department concerned and requested him to take up all these issues with officers concerned to resolve them.
They also voiced some serious issues requiring urgent attention of administration like electric wires hanging in many areas putting people lives at risk, scarcity of potable water in many villages, dearth of transportation facility in various areas especially border villages, desilting of nallahs to avoid flood like situation, drainage issues and others.
SDM Marh listened to all the grievances and assured the PRI members to take up these issues with all the concerned departments for their redressal as soon as possible. He maintained that the LG administration is very much serious in redressing the grievances of people especially rural areas.
DDC member Marh Balbir Kumar, BDC Chairman Marh Surinder Kumar and all Sarpanches and Panches were present during the meeting.
