UDHAMPUR, Aug 12: Sub Divisional Magistrate Dudu, Kulraj Singh in presence of Tehsildar Latti, Paramdeep Singh, Sarpanch of Sira- B Amitabh Bachan and Sarpanch Latti- A Kasturi Lal Gupta dedicated one ambulance to the public of Kolakh Panchayat Sira.
The ambulance was purchased by Sarpanch Sira B, Amitabh Bachan out of his Panchayat development funds. After formal inauguration, the SDM handed over the Ambulance to the staff of the local Health and Wellness Centre at Sira village in remote Dudu Sub Division. He directed the local PRI members to engage a local youth with valid driving license and experience as driver and keep provision of remuneration out of Panchayat resources till some arrangement is made by concerned department.
The SDM and locals of this Panchayat appreciated the efforts of the Sarpanch as the area is about 15 kilometres from the PHC Latti and the addition of the ambulance at Panchayat Sira B will undoubtedly enhance the accessibility of emergency healthcare services, ensuring a quicker response during critical situations. ” This initiative reflects a positive step towards improving public health and safety in the community,” the SDM maintained.
