JAMMU, May 15: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Akhnoor Chand Kishor Sharma imposed fine on lockdown violators.
SDM along with Tehsildar Surinder Singh, Naib Tehsildar Ashok Kumar and other officials paid visit to Gurha Brahmna, Palwan and Sohal areas and imposed a fine of Rs 5,500 on eight shopkeepers for violating lockdown.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Government has imposed lockdown to contain the spread of Coronavirus.
SDM Akhnoor also distributed medical kits to COVID infected persons at Government Higher Secondary School.
