AKHNOOR, Aug 17: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chowki Choura, Virender Gupta accompanied by Dr. Raman Jandyal, Tehsildar today conducted surprise checks at many places.
First of all, the SDM made a surprise visit to village Bandraal Khurd to curb the rampantly going on illegal mining.
During raid, the SDM along with Tehsildar and revenue team seized one Tractor Trolley with number JK02DE 6502 transporting sand illegally from Bandraal Khurd rivulet.
Acting swiftly, District Mineral Officer, Gulshan Kumar was sounded to take further cognizance.
The SDM and his team also inspected various government institutions to ensure punctuality and delivery of various government services and facilities.
After that, the SDM and his team moved towards upcoming Kappagala Kandi Tunnel being constructed by M/s R&C Infrastructure Company.
Works Manager of the Company informed the SDM that of the 260 meter length of the tunnel, work on 170 meters stands accomplished.
The SDM was also informed that the requisite breakthrough of the tunnel shall be met by ending December 2023.
Thereafter, the SDM visited 24×7 Accidental Hospital at Chowki Choura to assess the functioning of newly set Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra there.
The SDM inspected the Departments of the Hospital and chaired a meeting with BMO and his Medical Officers and stressed on to gear up all the medical facilities to make the 24×7 Hospital fully functional.
To prevent frequent fatal road-accidents, a Naka was laid by SDM and his Revenue Team, during which violators of traffic rules were sensitized and a fine of Rs. 6500 was realized on the spot.
