DODA, May 30: The construction work of a road in village Kota Top was started by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gandoh, Arun Badyal here today.
The work was started in the presence of local residents of Kota Kharanga Panchayat.
Speaking on the occasion, Arun Badyal said that construction of proper roads in the village and the laying of tar was a long pending demand from the Panchayat representatives and locals of the area from last two years.
Earlier, the construction work of this road was started, two years ago, but it was stopped due to some unknown reason, now its work has been restarted.
“Responding to these demands, the work after completion will not only benefit the residents of the village but also other passersby in the area,” he said.
“The Government is committed to carry forward the development works in the Panchayat, as to provide better basic facilities to the locals is our duty,” he added.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Hakim Singh Manghotra, Shahnawaz Sheikh, Ch Mohd Shafi and others.
