SDM, Tehsildar carry out wide range of activities in Chowki Choura

JAMMU, Mar 25: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chowki Choura Virender Gupta along with Tehsildar Chowki Choura Dr Raman Jandyal carried out wide range of activities in Sub Division Chowki Choura.
A patient hearing was given towards problems of shopkeepers of Main Market Chowki Choura. They were assured for immediate redressal of their genuine demands.
A public meeting was conducted at Panchayat Ghar Kanehri, wherein the burning issues of drinking water for villagers as well as ration at their doorsteps were discussed.
During the meeting, the accompanying AEE Jal Shakti Department Rakesh Chandan was directed to resolve the water crisis, who in reply assured for equal distribution of available water sources vis-à-vis a proper time table shall be drawn for the inhabitants of Budhi, Charai and Kanehri.
Meanwhile, the gathering was requested to cooperate for restricting the illegal mining in their areas so that water level and resources could be maintained sustainably.
In the evening, a surprise visit was conducted at Nau Nath Nallah and caught tippers bearing number JK02CN-4914 and JK02AN-9586 which were extracting and transporting sand illegally.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Akhnoor Varun Jandial and District Mining Officer (DMO) Gulshan Kumar were sounded immediately, who showed laudable cooperation to take further cognizance in the matter.
