JAMMU, Feb 19: The Government today conferred powers of Collector to all Sub Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in the State.
An official order issued by the Revenue Department sad: “the Government hereby confers upon all the SDMs of the State the powers of Collector to be exercised by them within their respective territorial jurisdiction’’.
The powers have been conferred under Sub Sections (4) and (5) of Section 6 of Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act, the order, issued by Commissioner/Secretary, Revenue Department, Vinod Koul said.
