SDP merges into BJP; Darkshan, Manga Shah, others join Modi’s bandwagon

JAMMU, Nov 1: While the leaders of various political parties and social organizations joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at a function here, today after being influenced by its rising graph and increasing popularity, the Socialist Democratic Party (SDP), leader, Dr Darkshan Andrabi announced the total merger of her organization into BJP to strengthen the nationalist forces in the State.
Besides,  Dr Andrabi, a prominent social activist Mrs Tanveer Baba, Joint secretary, National Conference (NC) and prominent businessman Kuldeep Raj Dubey alias Manga Shah, Congress leader, R S Pathania from Ramgarh, former DIG, K L  Bhagat, Harbans Singh Mehta, president Khalsa Centre Totting London, Brig (retd) Uttam Singh Chib, NSUI and Congress leader Amit Manhas, Dr Umesh Andotra of Batra Hospital, businessman and social activist, Rakesh Jalali, retired DySP, Vijay Khajuria, Advocate Mohinder Kumar Khajuria, Congress leader from Bani Hem Raj Verma, retired Director Animal Husbandary Dr R P Singh, Educationist S Amarjeet Singh, NCP State general secretary Mohinder Singh Thakur, Kranti Dal leader Vijay Singh, Consultant Physician, Dr Vikram Gupta, LJP State general secretary, Tony, Rajinder Bazar Association president, Atul Rajpal, Sushant Gupta, N C District general secretary, Jagdish Raj, N C leader Ramesh Singh Jasrotia, businessmen Nakhil Vakil, Rohit Gupta, Raghuvir Khajuria, Kuldeep Singh, Amarnath Langer Organisation president Kuldeep Singh, Raghunathpura Traders Association, secretary, Sanjay Sharma etc.
Dr Darkshan Andrabi while announcing the merger of her Party into BJP said that both SDP and BJP were working to strengthen the nationalist forces and unity and integrity of the country. Hence she decided merger of her organization into BJP to launch a united struggle for this cause and fight out those forces which are inimical to national interests in the State, she added.
BJP State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma said with the rising graph of BJP the Congress, NC and PDP leadership have become frustrated. The desperation and fear of losing the elections can be gauged from the fact that the senior NC leaders are deserting their constituencies to seek mandate from safer constituencies.
BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria said that the people of J&K are yearning to see the first ever BJP Government in the State, The party’s slogan to bring BJP to save the State from looters is getting overwhelming response. He also made a dig at NC-Congress and PDP and accused them of the present plight of the masses in the State.
BJP National Executive member, Dr Nirmal Singh said after Maharashtra and Haryana BJP will register a spectacular victory in J&K as the people of the State have realized the importance of brining BJP to power in the State.
BJP organizational general secretary Ashok Kaul while highlighting the achievements of four month long rule of Narendra Modi led BJP Government at Centre expressed the hope that Party will definitely achieve the Mission 44+ in ensuing Assembly poll.
State general secretary BJP Bali Bhagat managed the stage and the programme was attended by senior Party leaders.
