SRINAGAR, Nov 22: The Government has appointed Superintending Engineer, R&B Circle Budgam, Ghulam Rasool to hold Departmental inquiry against an Executive Engineer of Srinagar and Assistant Executive Engineer of Hazratbal Sub Division with regard to compliant/allegations against them.
Official sources said that Principal Secretary to Govt PW(R&B) Department, Shailedra Kumar today ordered initiating RDA against, Asgar Ali Watali, the then Executive Engineer, R&B Sub Division-Ist Srinagar and Yasir Faiz Jan, the then AEE, R&B Sub Division Hazaratbal for the allegations against them.
In this regard, SE Budgam, Ghulam Rasool has been appointed as Inquiry Officer while XEn Javed Iqbal Shawl as presenting officer. They have been directed to submit report within 21 days.
There are allegations against these engineers that they allotted work worth Rs 81228 to a contractor during their tenure but the same contractor drawn bills amounting to 12 times more than this initial amount for works on Sayed Meerak Shah Road from Ashai Bagh bridge to Zakoora Crossing, Srinagar.
