LOS ANGELES, Dec 18: Actor Sean Penn is all set to play the elected President in HBO’s miniseries “American Lion”.
The 55-year-old Oscar-winning actor will headline the Lionsgate produced miniseries about President Andrew Jackson, reported Aceshowbiz.
The six-hour event series is based on Jon Meacham’s Pulitzer Prize-winning biography “American Lion: Andrew Jackson in the White House”.
The “Milk” star will also serve as the executive producer of the project penned by written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard.
Production is set to begin in 2016. (PTI)
