DODA, Dec 1: Search continued even today to trace out the two persons who were missing yesterday after their car plunged into Chenab River here at Kandhote-Shiva Pul area.
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, accompanied by SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta visited the accident spot in Kandhote-Shiva Pul area to oversee the rescue operation.
The vehicle plunged into the river on Saturday morning leaving one person onboard dead while two other travellers were still missing.
The rescue teams including personnel from NDRF, SDRF and Quick Response Team of J&K Police along with local volunteers were working tirelessly to locate the missing persons.
During visit, DC and SSP Doda inspected roadside conditions at Kandhote-Shiva Pul to assess the safety measures and identify potential improvements to prevent such incidents in the future.
