JAMMU: Security forces today launched a search operation in several villages near the International Border in Kathua district following information about suspicious movement of some persons, a police officer said.
A local informed the forces about the presence of four suspicious persons in fields of Mahesh Chack village following which the search operation was launched this morning, SSP Kathua Suleman Choudhary told reporters.
The operation was jointly carried out by the police, Army and paramilitary forces in the village and adjoining areas but nothing was found during the day-long drive. (AGENCIES)
