SRINAGAR: Security forces launched a search operation in south Kashmir district of Anantnag this evening against militants, official source said.
Security forces and police launched a joint operation at village Arwani Bijbehara in Anantnag district following a tip off about the presence of militants.
However, when the cordon was being laid in the area, some firing shots were heard, they said security forces sealed the entire village and launched a search operation.
Further details are awaited, they said adding reinforcement was rushed to the area. (AGENCIES)
