Searches launched in Budhal

JAMMU, Oct 29: Army and police today launched searches at village Thogli and its upper reaches under the jurisdiction of Budhal police station in Rajouri district after people observed movement of three militants in the area.
The villagers claimed that they had seen the well equipped militants supporting long hairs and beards. They informed police and Army, which rushed to the spot and conducted searches.
The searches were going on when the reports last came in, official sources said. They, however, added that no contact has been established with the militants so far.
“It was not yet clear whether the persons in question were actually militants or not,” sources said, adding the things would be clear by tomorrow morning.
