JAMMU, Nov 14: Newly appointed Secretary of Dharmarth Trust, Ashok Kumar Sharma (SSP- Retd), today visited various temples and reviewed facilities there for the devotees.
He asserted that Dharmarth Trust, which is actively taking care of temples and shrines and the visiting devotees in J&K for over hundred years is still proactive and determined to cater to the needs of the visitors by providing state of art facilities and ensuring that the ancient religious destinations do not lose their pristine sheen and splendor.
The Secretary paid obeisance and reviewed facilities at Utter Behni shrine and visited various temples including Abhi Mukteshwar Temple, Ranbireshwar Temple and Gaddha Dhar ji Main Temple in Utter Behni. Varinder Singh, Additional Secretary also accompanied the Secretary.
Ashok Sharma said that it is the responsibility of every single citizen of J&K to play his or her vital role in safeguarding this incredible heritage of the region and at the same time showcasing the same to as many people they can whether belonging to the country or from abroad.
The Secretary also met Assistant Manager and various Pujaris of the Temples in Utter Behni and asked them to work with zeal and zest, and ensured that devotees feel elated after visiting these significant religious destinations. He inspired them to set an example for others by remaining dedicated and punctual in their duties while completing their responsibilities.
Ashok Sharma asked the employees to keep the entire vicinity of the shrine neat and clean with no compromise at any point. He also asked them to keep a watch on donation boxes all the time so that unscrupulous elements cannot take any undue liberty. He said that the responsibility to run these marvelous shrines and temples is not a small thing and those working as ward and watch should always remain on toes and tenterhooks to ensure protection and conservation of these heritage sites which are also having much significance as far as religion is concerned.
