JAMMU, Sept 23: Secretary Animal and Sheep Husbandry/ Fisheries, Science & Technology Department, Satesh Nehru today visited various offices of Sheep Husbandry Department and took stock of working of Disease Investigation Laboratory (S&G), Sheep & Wool Workers’ Training Class and Fleece testing Laboratory at Kartholi.
During inspection of Disease Investigation Laboratory (S&G), the Secretary was apprised about the latest techniques being adopted for investigation and Diagnosis of disease in sheep and goats and measures taken to develop disease free livestock and for betterment of economic condition of the sheep rearers.
The Secretary was also apprised about various aspects of wool analysis and steps taken for production of quality wool. The Secretary emphasized upon the veterinarians and staff to work with zeal and dedication so the benefits of these institutions reaches maximum number of beneficiaries.
Later the Secretary inspected various establishments of these departments en-route. He also visited Dairy Goat Farm Raj Bagh Kathua and District Sheep Husbandry Complex at Kathua.
