Sectt employees defer protest prog

SRINAGAR, May 7: The Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee has decided to defer its proposed protest programme on the first day of the opening of Civil Secretariat in summer capital here tomorrow.
In its emergency meeting held here today, senior members of the Committee decided to defer the proposed protest scheduled to be held on May 8, 2017 on the first day of opening of Darbar Move offices. The decision was taken in the aftermath of assurances and clear directions given by the Chief Minister, discussion of the issues in Cabinet and deliberations held by Coordination Committee with Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Horticulture and the Chief Secretary for resolving of all the issues put forth by the Civil Secretariat Coordination Committee particularly cadre review for which a Committee was constituted and assurance given with regard to removal of pay anomaly and resolving other major issues in a time bound manner.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of president Civil Secretariat Non-Gazetted Employees Union GR Mir in which the president of Civil Secretariat Lower Grade Employees Union Maqbool Hussain was also present.
