JAMMU, Nov 29: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Union has urged upon the Governor, Satya Pal Malik to address the pending issues of the employees besides issuing clarification with regard to the employees’ Mediclaim policy.
In a memorandum submitted to the State Governor SP Malik, the employees’ union stressed for the early resolution of their pending issues. They demanded change in the office timings in the Secretariat from 9.30 am to 5 pm instead of 9.30 am to 5.30 pm; revocation of Govt order No. 407-FD of 2018 dated 20-9-18, for shifting of core functioning of Planning to Finance Deptt or complete merger of both the departments.
They further demanded clarification on the employees’ Mediclaim policy as even after its cancellation by the Governor, the concerned officials of Private Insurance company are still asking DDOs of various departments to deposit the next installment of employees with them. They demanded refund of the Govt employees’ money deducted for no benefit to them till date.
The Union also stressed for timely conduct of DPC of all cadre, enhancement of Darbar Move TA from Rs 15000 to Rs 25,000 and MTA from Rs 2000 to Rs 5000; enhancement in percentage quota from 25% to 50 % for promotion of Class IV employees and timely conduct of type test for them; early removal of pay anomalies, filling up of available slots through feeding service officers ( Sectt Gazetted I and II), revocation of SRO-202 of 2015, cancellation/ detachment of attached staff in the Civil Secretariat and eviction of illegal occupants from Estates quarters in Srinagar and Jammu.
The Union members pointed out that these issues were projected before the previous Government from time to time but most of them have remained unattended. They hoped a positive response from the Governor’s Administration.
