JAMMU, Apr 2: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees Union (JKCSNGEU) threatened to launch agitation if demands of employees were not met within a week.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting of coordination committee of JKCSNGEU and Civil Secretariat Lower Grade Employees union.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Ghulam Rasool Mir, president JKCSNGEU while among others Maqbool Hussain, president Civil Secretariat Lower Grade Employees Union was also present.
During the course of meeting, it was reiterated that the Governor in the recent past approved much needed schemes and policies for the State.
It was informed that several memorandums and representation were submitted to Government for redressal of genuine and legitimate demands of the employees but despite assurance no further action has been taken, Ghulam Rasool said.
He said some of the grave issues which have been again kept pending include removal of pay anomaly, career progression or cadre review of all cadres, enhancement of TA, refreshment charges of move employees, HRA, release of DA, reduction in qualifying service of Government employees for full pensioner benefits, revival of LTC and detachment of attached staff.
Besides this, he said, the Governor has approved mediclaim policy for all non-gazetted employees without taking into consideration the view point of employees.
Darbar move employees are also suffering on account of supply of ration ever since the implementation of NFSA and repeated requests made for making special quota and relaxation have not been paid any heed”, he added. Another major issue is security of Government quarters which he said has not been redressed inspite of direction from higher authorities, he informed.
The employees are off and on being harassed by goons in the colonies, he said, adding that the meeting felt that the Government has adopted delaying tactics and casual approach towards resolving the legitimate demands of the secretariat employees.
Government is provoking employees towards the path of the agitation and in case the Government fails to take immediate measures for redressal of all the projected demands within week’s time further course of action will be taken accordingly, he added.
