Secularism key to national integration, says Sadhotra

SAMBA, Mar 23: Describing secularism as pivotal for national integration in India’s diverse landscape, National Conference Additional General Secretary Ajay Kumar Sadhotra emphasized inclusivity as vital for fostering harmony and unity among citizens of varied beliefs.
Speaking at an Iftar Party hosted by Suriya Begum, DDC Member in Samba district, Sadhotra underscored secularism’s role in treating every individual equally, regardless of religion or ethnicity.
He highlighted the guiding philosophy of the National Conference, promoting mutual respect and understanding among different religious communities.
Sadhotra praised Jammu and Kashmir’s pluralistic ethos, noting its resilience against divisive forces. He stressed the region’s historical role as a unifier, maintaining amity and brotherhood even during challenging times.
Expressing confidence in the populace’s appreciation for harmonious growth, Sadhotra urged youth to champion inclusivity and bridge divides among regions and communities in J&K.
Warning against elements opposed to inclusiveness, Sadhotra affirmed the National Conference’s commitment to thwarting divisive agendas.
He criticized the BJP for fostering divisiveness to distract from its failures and hardships imposed on the populace.
Sadhotra called for holding the BJP accountable and urged people to reject its divisive policies.
In light of the holy month of Ramadan, Sadhotra extended greetings and prayed for peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
