RAJOURI, Jan 1: In a significant step to strengthen border security and counter infiltration attempts by terrorists, the Indian Army has deployed cutting-edge weapons and advanced surveillance systems along the Line of Control (LoC).
This move underscores the Army’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and safeguarding India’s sovereignty in sensitive border regions.
The upgraded arsenal includes high-precision sniper rifles with advanced thermal and night vision capabilities, enabling soldiers to neutralize threats even in low-visibility conditions. These rifles, with a range of several hundred meters, provide a crucial advantage in detecting and eliminating hostile elements. Multi-Shot Grenade Launchers (MSGL) have also been inducted, offering rapid and effective firepower during combat situations.
To augment its operational capabilities, the Indian Army has integrated advanced surveillance tools into its defence network. High-tech cameras ensure 24×7 monitoring of key areas, while high-performance drones-dubbed the “third eye”-deliver real-time reconnaissance. These drones, equipped with cutting-edge imaging systems, enhance the Army’s ability to detect and track infiltration attempts with unmatched precision.
The deployment is further bolstered by thermal imagers, ground sensors, and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), creating a robust and comprehensive surveillance and defence framework. These technological advancements not only enhance the detection and prevention of infiltration attempts but also serve as a strong deterrent against any hostile activities along the LoC.
This strategic initiative highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to leveraging technology to ensure national security. By continuously upgrading its capabilities, the Army reaffirms its dedication to protecting the nation and maintaining peace in the region.
