JAMMU, Feb 20: A recent survey by the Security Solutions Business of Godrej Enterprise Group (GEG) today claimed a direct correlation between security and happiness.
The survey revealed that 98% of individuals who faced a security breach in their homes reported a significant decline in their overall sense of security and happiness.
The findings further revealed that 35% of respondents had experienced incidents like break-ins, robberies and burglaries.
This troubling statistic emphasizes the urgent need for enhanced security measures in households across the country.
In response to these findings, Pushkar Gokhale, GEG’s Business Head, Security Solutions Business said, “The strong link between security and happiness is evident in our survey findings. A secure environment fosters a happier and more confident society. The increasing adoption of security technology is not just a trend; it is a necessity for enhancing the quality of life. At Godrej, we continue to innovate and offer solutions that empower individuals to protect what matters most, enabling them to lead happier, worry-free lives.”
The survey also indicates a shift in consumer awareness, with a growing inclination toward advanced, integrated security solutions.
AI-enabled surveillance cameras, smart alarm systems and video door phones are becoming increasingly popular, reflecting the desire for real-time protection and deterrence against potential threats.
As security becomes a key pillar of emotional and psychological well-being, it is clear that protecting one’s home is no longer just about physical safety but also about nurturing peace of mind.
The findings emphasize that home security plays a critical role in shaping an individual’s overall happiness and mental peace.
The survey further explored the types of security features that foster a true sense of safety and well-being.
Among the most preferred security measures, 45% of respondents highlighted the importance of surveillance cameras, followed by 41% choosing home lockers (Tijori) as a preferred solution.
Other prominent security features included the presence of security guards (36%), alarm systems (29%) and video door phones (20%).
