SRINAGAR, May 16: Security forces on Thursday apprehended a suspected individual during a search operation and recovered arms, ammunition and other war like stores from his possession in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Army said based on specific inputs from intelligence agencies, a joint search operation was launched by Indian Army, Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu and Kashmir Police on the intervention night of May 15 and 16 in the general area of Lunahare- Panzgam in the border district of Kupwara.
“During the operation one suspected individual has been apprehended along with two pistols, ten hand grenades and other war like stores”, Army posted on X.
“Based on specific inputs from intelligence agencies, a Joint Search Operation was launched by #IndianArmy, @BSF_Kashmir & @JmuKmrPolice on the intervening night of 15-16 May in general area Lunahare, Panzgam, Kupwara. One suspected individual has been apprehended along with recovery of 02xPistols, 10Hand Grenades & other war-like stores”, Army tweeted on X.
