JAMMU, June 9: Killing of nine terrorists in 24 hours in Kashmir by the security forces is highly commendable and an indicative of the firm resolve of the Government, the Indian Army, para military forces and local police that the men posing threat to the unity and integrity of the country and security of the civilian population will be given befitting reply.
In a statement, Jammu Kashmir, BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while appreciating the successful operations of neutralizing the terrorists, said that 22 terrorists have been killed in last two weeks and 82 in first six months till now, including top commanders, which show that be it army, para military forces or Jammu Kashmir Police, all are working in coordination with the sole mission of making Kashmir free of such elements and forces which have unleashed a proxy war against India with the support and dictates from across the border.
This spurt in killings of the terrorists is also indicative of the fact that ‘Kashmiri Awaam’ has welcomed the abolition of Article 370 and is yearning for peaceful life. It is this motivation, which is leading to pin point information being shared by the locals with the forces. When ‘Awaam’ joins the anti terror operations and there is no political interference, one can confidently say that militancy in Kashmir is in a dying phase.
Balbir said that the BJP has always saluted the valour and sacrifices of the Indian army and other security forces, whose jawans have been fighting the militancy in Kashmir for decades and achieving big success at the cost of their lives.
“The people of Jammu Kashmir have suffered a lot during all these years of Pak sponsored militancy as it has consumed thousands of precious human lives, forced the minority Hindu Kashmiri Pandits to leave their homes and hearths for honour and safety, besides causing damages to the immovable properties, shattering the business and inducing a sense of insecurity among the people”, Balbir said and added that the recent incidents of killing of terrorists in large numbers would boost the morale of the security forces and induce a sense of security among the citizens and also go a long way in restoring peace and normalcy in militancy infested Jammu Kashmir.
