SRINAGAR: A gunbattle broke out between security forces and militants, holed up in a village, in Pulwama district of Kashmir today, police said.
The gunfight erupted when security forces launched a search operation at Kakpora in Rishipora village following specific information about the presence of militants there.
As security forces zeroed in on their target, the ultras fired at them, police said.
Security force personnel retaliated triggering a gunbattle, they said adding no casualties had been reported so far. (AGENCIES)
