Security grid to be strengthened in hospitals: Dr Ashutosh

JAMMU, Aug 19: In order to provide adequate security to entire medical staff, the security grid in the hospitals including Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu and Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital Jammu will further be augmented.
This was decided by the Principal and Dean, Jammu GMC, Dr Ashutosh Gupta in a meeting held here today.
The meeting was held to take a review of the security scenario within the hospital premises following which it was decided to further strengthen the security.
During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that 20 armed police personnel shall be deployed round the clock and their place of postings will be done by the administration team in consultation with the Medical Superintendent, SMGS Jammu.
It was also impressed upon during the meeting that the security personnel will be deputed as per the roaster for a hospital round to maintain public discipline in all the departments of the hospitals besides monitoring and new CCTVs shall also be installed in the hospital premises and every floor will be manned by at least one security personnel from the private hospital security.
