KISHTWAR, Aug 3: Secretary Higher Education Department, who is Incharge Secretary District Kishtwar for monitoring developmental works and other related matters, Talat Parvez Rohella, convened a meeting with PRI members of different Panchayats of blocks Trigam and Kishtwar here today.
ADDC, Mohammad Hanief Malik, ACD, Anil Kumar Chandail, LDM besides others attended the meeting.
Various issues regarding funds, functions and functionaries for the overall development of panchayats were discussed in detail during the meeting.
Sarpanchs raised various issues like expediting the process of opening of bank account and transfer of funds under MDM, ICDS for panchayats .
Incharge Secretary directed the ACD Kishtwar to furnish the details of account numbers to Sarpanchs by today positively.
Further, LDM was also directed to provide complete account details to all panchayat representatives.
Sarpanchs were asked to work with full zeal and zest in co-operation with different departments for smooth and efficient functioning of panchayats so that the grass root level development in accordance with J&K Panchayati Raj Act 1989 could be achieved.
He asked all PRIs to go minutely through the details of Acts, schemes and all guidelines in letter and spirit for smooth run and functioning of Panchayats.
