Srinagar, Sept 16: Union Secretary, Ministry of Ayush Dr. Rajesh Kotecha and Padma Bhushan Dr. Davindera Triguna today visited the Government Unani Hospital Shalteng here to assess the facilities provided to patients in the Kashmir Division.
They were accompanied by Director Ayush Dr. Mohan Singh. Dr Kotecha received a briefing on the hospital’s functions from Medical Superintendent Dr. Mohd Farooq Naqshbandi.
Dr. Naqashbandi informed the Union Secretary that the hospital serves a significant population of the Kashmir division, with 300-350 patients visiting daily for Ayush healthcare.
Dr Kotecha toured various departments and sections of the hospital, including the OPD, Panchkarma, Hijama section, Laboratory, USG, X-Ray, and other diagnostic facilities. During the visit, he interacted with patients to gather feedback on the facilities and patient satisfaction.
He commended the hospital’s hygiene and cleanliness and congratulated the staff for their tireless efforts in providing the best patient care and assured the hospital of full support from the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
