Secy Tourism sets two weeks time to complete pending works on IYC Mantalai

UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department, Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, has set two weeks time to complete all the pending works on the International Yoga Centre (IYC) at Mantalai area here.
He passed these directions while conducting a thorough inspection of the Yoga and Wellness Center.
The visit of the Secretary Tourism was aimed at assessing operationalization of the asset to expedite the progress of the project being executed under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP).
The visit covered inspection of a range of project components including the Yoga Center, Wellness Spa and Ayurveda Complex, Tourists Facilitation Center, Dining Center, Eco log Huts, Helipad, Amphitheater, Landscaping, Parking area, Green Poly House, Mediation enclave, and more.
The Secretary asked the NPCC officials to immediately complete all outstanding works. He issued strict instructions with regard to the quality and pace of finishing work in various components.
He directed immediate actions, emphasizing the completion of work within 15 days. He issued specific instructions to address all identified issues, deploy additional skilled manpower, and ensure that work meets utmost standards of quality.
International Yoga Center at the renowned site of Mantalai is a significant project that will contribute to the region’s tourism potential and wellness landscape.
“It holds national importance and its completion with desired standards is a top priority. The identified deficiencies should be rectified promptly, with strict adherence to the stipulated timeline,” stated Syed Abid Rasheed Shah during the meeting.
The Secretary was accompanied by tourism officials and committee members including Amarjeet Singh, Special Secretary, Tourism Department; Thakur Sher Singh, Chief Executive Officer, Patnitop Development Authority; Parvaiz Naik, Sub Divisional Magistrate Chenani, and other officials.
