Sedow, Harmen PHCs in Shopian get NC under NQAS

SRINAGAR, Dec 27: The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Govt of India has accorded the National Certification under NQAS Programme to PHC Sedow & PHC Harmen of District Shopian in recognition of the high standards of Quality in the concerned hospitals.
The Certified Healthcare Facilities were assessed by a team of highly qualified and empanelled National Assessors from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India in the month of October, 2023 and have been awarded as Quality Certified under NQAS of the National Health Mission as communicated by the Additional Secretary & Mission Director, NHM, MoH&FW, GoI, in a letter addressed to the UT Government.
PHC Sedow & PHC Harmen shall receive an additional yearly annual grant of Rs.3.00 lakh each as part of NQAS certification for next three years under National Health Mission for further strengthening.
Administrative Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Bhupinder Kumar, while congratulating the staff of the concerned certified hospitals for this achievement, urged all Medical Colleges, District Hospitals, CHCs & all Health Care facilities of the J&K UT to work for implementation of NQAS standards for improved patient care.
Elaborating on the achievement, the Mission Director, NHM J&K, Babila Rakwal, said that the certification has been accorded to these facilities in recognition of the “High standards of quality and performance maintained by the hospitals” and informed that under NHM all efforts are being made to strengthen the health care delivery system to the utmost satisfaction of general public.
